Toshiba Thrive Initial Impressions by The Digital Digest

Full Review: www.youtube.com The Toshiba Thrive on Amazon: www.amazon.com has finally arrived and much like Honeycomb tablets before it, it promises to give you a unique and different experience despite sharing much of its hardware and software with every other competing Honeycomb tablet on the market. The Thrive circumnavigates sex appeal in favor of value and functionality. Toshiba has long been known for its computers and the Thrive reflects that passion by blending the best of Honeycomb with desktop capabilities out of the box (ie...full size USB (and Host), full size HDMI and a user replaceable battery!). Beyond its standard fair, Tegra 2, 1GB of ram, WiFi b / g / n, bluetooth 3.0 and front(2MP) and rear (5MP) cams, which already read like a laundry list of components, its only the beginning of how the Thrive changes tablet computing. The Thrive wants to be your keyboard-less Honeycomb tablet computer(yes I said Honeycomb tablet computer!)...will you let it? Check out the initial impression! Enjoy! -TDD
