Dell has finally made its Streak 5 available in Malaysia. The Streak 5 is a 5-inch Android based device that Dell is positioning as a pocket tablet as it has all the functions required of both a tablet and a smartphone. Less than 10mm thick, the Dell Streak 5 is designed for people who are constantly interacting online and want to expand their ability to access their digital lives on-the-go. Dell believes that the 5-inch screen is an ideal size for an optimised web-browsing experience. Additionally, the capacitive multi-touch TFT LCD screen is made out of scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass and Dell Sales Malaysia and Singapore´s Director for Mobility, Tong Kai Loong, demonstrated just how scratch-proof and tough the screen was by stabbing it with a pen multiple times. "The Dell Streak hits the sweet spot between traditional smartphones and larger-screen tablets and its unique size will help people discover new ways to enjoy the web, connect with friends and navigate their lives," said Varinderjit Singh, Dell´s Managing Director, CSMB, Malaysia and Singapore. To capture videos and photos, the Streak 5 comes with a rear-facing 5-megapixel auto-focus camera with dual LED flash as well as a front-facing VGA camera. It also has 2GB of internal dedicated storage but a micro SD memory slot can expand storage up to 32GB. Dell includes a 16B card in the package.
